Master Bathroom Remodel | Custom Shower, Tub & Dark Green Vanity
A Complete Visual Transformation Without the Cost of Major Layout Relocation
Maximizing Impact, Minimizing Disruption
This master bathroom remodel was designed to completely upgrade the space while keeping the main layout in place. Instead of relocating the bathtub and enclosed shower, we focused on the areas that create the biggest everyday impact: finish quality, waterproofing, lighting, comfort, storage, and clean modern detailing.
The final result is a bright, custom-feeling bathroom with a dark green vanity, warm wood-look floor tile, large-format wall tile, a custom glass shower, floating wood shelves, LED mirror lighting, and a bold feature wall that gives the room a much more refined designer look.

What Makes This Bathroom Stand Out
The strongest visual feature in this remodel is the contrast between the crisp white surfaces and the textured blue-green feature wall behind the tub. That wall gives the room depth and personality while still keeping the overall design clean and modern. The wood-look porcelain floor tile adds warmth, while the dark green vanity brings in a richer custom tone that separates this bathroom from a standard builder-grade white remodel.
Layout Strategy: Smarter Investments
One of the biggest advantages of this project is the strategy behind it. Rather than investing in major relocation work, we kept the core bathtub and shower arrangement and used the renovation budget where homeowners feel it most: better waterproofing, upgraded tile, stronger lighting, custom glass, improved storage, and higher-end fixtures.
That approach allowed the space to feel dramatically more custom without forcing a full structural redesign.

Waterproofing & Technical Build
A bathroom like this needs more than a visual upgrade. The quoted scope included Sub-Guard or DensShield boards on wet walls, full waterproofing with Ardex or RedGard membranes, MAPEI waterproofing tape on seams and penetrations, and flood testing before tile installation. That technical layer is what helps protect the room long after the renovation is complete.
This is especially important in the shower area, where long-term durability depends on what is built behind the tile, not just what is visible on the surface.
Lighting, Comfort & Daily Use
The enclosed shower was upgraded with a custom glass door, tiled shower floor, integrated drain, and a Vigo multi-function shower system for a more modern everyday experience. The bathtub wall was turned into a focal point with bold accent tile and linear lighting, while the floating shelves add both warmth and practical storage.
The LED mirror improves daily visibility at the vanity, the dimmable ceiling pot lights brighten the room without harshness, and the towel warmer adds a meaningful comfort upgrade that helps the bathroom feel more premium in daily use.
